NOTICE OF SEMI- ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING  –  7:00 p.m. – Monday November 5, 2017

The Semi-Annual General Meeting of the Fredericton Golf Club Inc. will be held in the upper lounge of the Clubhouse on Monday, Nov 5, 2017, 7:00 P.M.  Please plan to attend; your point of view is important.

NOTICE OF  “SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING”

Monday November 27, 2017 

Immediately following the conclusion of the Semi-Annual General Meeting, the Board will present 2 revisions to the By-laws for membership approval.

  2. Discussion of revised By-laws
  3. Membership vote on revised By-laws, as presented by the Board

By-laws revisions for November 27, 2017 Semi-Annual Special Meeting 

4.06     Honorary Member– An Honorary Member is a person who:

has, due to exemplary or extraordinary service to the Club, been awarded by the Board an Honorary Membership. Honorary Members are appointed for life and are not required to pay annual fees. Honorary Members have full privileges of the Club.  There shall not be more than 15 Honorary Members at any time.

 To be changed to:

 4.06     Honorary Member– An Honorary Member is a person who:

has, due to exemplary or extraordinary service to the Club, been awarded by the Board an Honorary Membership. Honorary Members are appointed for life and have non-playing privileges of the Club.

 

 

 

15.02. Redemption of Units of Deposit and Asset Units.  The Club shall redeem Units of Deposit and Asset Units only when:

(a) a Unit holder has delivered to the General Manager written notice stating the amount he or she requests to be redeemed;

(b) the Unit holder ceases to be a member of the Club; and

(c) the redemption in any one Membership Year shall not exceed 30% of the amount of “Excess of revenue over expenses” as stated on the Statement of Operations in the Club’s Financial Statements for the previous Membership Year. 

To be re-worded as follows:

(c)  the Club’s Financial Statements for the previous Membership Year state an “Excess of revenue over expenses”. Redemption of Units of Deposit and Asset Units in any Membership Year shall not exceed 30% of the amount of “Excess of revenue over expenses” as stated in the Club’s Financial Statements for the previous year.
