Ladies Events
The
Ladies Section at the Fredericton Golf Club is a great
group of women. We
have all ages—from juniors to seniors to super seniors and
“beyond”. Our ladies are
from all walks of life and are of various golfing abilities.
If you want to play with a lady with a similar handicap, you can
find her. If you want to
play with a lady in your line of work, you can find her.
If you want to play with a lady around your age, you can find
her. And if you want to play
with a lady with a lower handicap who can give you some tips on your
game, you can find her.
We
have a great summer of golf planned for everyone.
Our Opening Scramble is being held on Saturday, May 29th;
the Club Championship is Saturday and Sunday, August 21st and
22nd; our Ladies Invitational 2-person Scramble is Sunday,
August 29th, our Closing Scramble is September
26th and our Closing Dinner is October 5th.
And of course, throughout the summer we have the Tuesday morning
Ladies’ League and the Tuesday evening Business Ladies’ League.
Both groups have a sign-up sheet so you just have to sign up and
you will be assigned a tee time and you’ll get a chance to play with
different ladies every week.
You can make some life-long friends.
I know I have. The
ladies in charge of organizing the Tuesday events work hard to make sure
everyone who signs up has a great time so please come out and join us.
Also
throughout the summer we have the two-person and individual match play
so be sure to sign up and participate.
And be sure to record your birdies, pars, chip-ins and best
scores on each hole on the appropriate board and your personal
accomplishments like breaking 100 for the first time, a hole-in-one, an
eagle or your personal best score on the white board.
We
also have an active junior girls program.
