Green Renovation Project – Progress Update May 3rd

As the first week of our Green Renovation Project comes to an end, Rod Whitman and his team have put in a tremendous effort. Since Monday, incredible progress has been made with holes 4 & 5. The left side bunker on #4 is now completely gone and the green has been leveled which will allow Rod’s team to soon begin their reshaping and digging phase. The right side bunker has been altered and filled in order to help reshape the green.

Hole 5 has just begun its deconstruction phase which the team started on Tuesday. The reusable sod from the approach has been recycled for other purposes around the course. The majority of the sod has been used to build a tee deck for old #1, which will be used for 2019 as a temporary hole in replacement of #4. On Thursday #5 green entered the unearthing phase of the project which involves creating both a flatter area and gentle slope on the right side of the green nearest to the cart path.

Week one has seen incredible progress into this historic renovation project for the club. Kurtis Lavis & Keith Cutten have worked tirelessly this week and their hard work and progress speak for itself.

We are excited to share more updates on this project as it moves forward.
