GREEN RENOVATION PROJECT – PROGRESS UPDATE JULY 17 - Fredericton Golf Club Inc. : Fredericton Golf Club Inc.

The past few weeks have seen tremendous progress made to our Green Renovation Project. We are approaching an exciting phase of the project as hole #4 has been seeded and hydro-mulched, holes #5, #10, & #13 are all soon to follow suit in the upcoming week.

The drainage system and irrigation were installed on hole #4 during the week of July 9th. This past week the green has been seeded and then applied with hydro-mulch. Work has shifted to hole #5 where final preparations are taking place prior to the seed being applied to the green which will then be followed by hydro-mulch layering. Members can expect to see both holes #4 & #5 watered periodically to assist with the growing process.

The drainage installation on hole #10 is now complete. Once the seeding and hydro-mulch phase has been completed on hole #5, work will begin on seeding #10. The drainage system is scheduled to be installed this week on hole #13, there will be an increased amount of traffic on the back 9 during this phase as the maintenance crew will be transporting both sand and gravel to #13 green in order to get it ready for the final shaping. We ask members to please be cautious as to where they park on the cart path when the sand and gravel are being moved to each hole.

We are extremely happy with the progress the project has made thus far. Rod Whitman and his staff have done an excellent job along with the assistance of our grounds crew and superintendent.
