Green Renovation Project – Progress Update May 10th

Week two of our Green Renovation Project has seen incredible progress made to holes #4, 5, & 13. Rod Whitman‘s team of Keith Cutten and Kurtis Lavis have accomplished a lot in the first two weeks of the project.

On Tuesday the duo completed the leveling and initial re-shaping of holes #4 & #5 after having finished the removal of the greens and turf around them. Work has begun with the new design of the right side bunker on hole #4 as it starts to take form.

Hole #5 is progressing nicely as Kurtis & Keith started to eliminate the slope on the left side of the former green and leveling out both the approach and the slope to the right side of the green closest to the cart path.

Wednesday marked the first day of work on the opposite side of Golf Club Road. The de-construction of hole #13 green started with the focus on removing the turf and sod around the green area in order to prepare for the surface leveling for the new green area.

Week two has been filled with lots of positive progress and has all of our staff excited for what the upcoming weeks have in store. This is a tremendous time of positive change in the history of the Fredericton Golf Club which we are happy to share with all of our members and Rod Whitman and his team.
